The battle is engaged

The following is a response to a letter posted regarding gun ownership and the NRA. It is worthwhile reading.

Dear Ms. Marcus,

It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter to you today, as Americans I feel we all lost more than 20 innocent children and 7 brave educators who risked their own lives to save the children. It is for that reason I am trying to understand the logic constantly expulsed by those in your camp. The National Rifle Association was founded in 1871, one of the first court battles  was to challenge a southern towns law prohibiting ‘black’ people from owning guns in their own home for protection from the ‘Klan’!  From there the NRA has grown 4 million strong of individual American gun owning citizens interested in preserving the 2nd Amendment and the Rights bestowed upon us with that  like it or not, gun safety, marksmanship and the promotion of people having the God given right to protect themselves whether it be in  or outside their home.
Organizations formed by George Zoros and Mayor Blumberg are already super PACs fighting against what we feel is a unique American right, found nowhere else on this planet except Switzerland where everyone owns a machine gun, (assault weapon). How many times do we hear about this type of monsterous act befalling their citizens? The NRA has tried working for sensible gun laws to prohibit criminals and those with mental problems from obtaining a gun. Why do liberal judge feel they can circumvent the law and reduce a jail sentence from 10 to 3 years in a gun related crime? Why is the ACLU constantly allowed to protect the rights of the criminal element shielding them from tough jail sentences  or those deemed mentally ill and still allowed to populate the general public where they are harmful to us as well as themselves. Let’s enforce existing gun laws, follow the sentencing guidelines voted on by State legislators and work to prevent  the mentally ill from doing something like what was done last Friday?
Let’s wait until the investigation is fully completed before forming vigilantes against your fellow Americans!

What is Obama wearing

Each December we remember the past year’s news events. This year we went through primaries and general elections with tales told and untold.  Television screens were filled with want to be presidential candidates. During the endless debates much was done by the ‘media’ to undress the candidates. After grueling weeks of criticisms, selection was made. Then an old question and answer sequence was published, wherein the selected candidate fumbled explanation why forty-seven percent would not vote for him so it would matter little what he said or did. The news media screamed about the rich man.
Now print and electronic news media have broadcast Barack Obama as the man of the year as anointed by Time Magazine. Four years ago, a few voices screamed that the young untested clichéd candidate, talking of hope and change, was exposed for various questionable acts that needed to be aired. A few people claimed the would-be- emperor had a dirty suit, but it was never televised or printed with a clarion voice. Now the disgrace of the proactive and post active Benghazi situation is being white washed.
It seems there are collegiums of purpose among Democrat power brokers and news media. Yester-week someone asked Chris Christie if his weight is, or will be, a problem for his candidacy in 2016. His answer should have been why are you trying to undress a would-be-emperor? Our Press is akin to the people watching the parade in the Hans Christian Anderson fable as they remain silent and reluctant to ‘scream the emperor has no clothes’. Benghazi is another parade of the naked emperor.

The Emporer has at least a dirty suit!

This has been a year to remember Hans Christian Anderson’s, “Emperor’s New Suit of Clothes”. We went through primaries and general elections with tales told and untold. On one side there was a television screen filled with, would be, or want to be presidents. During the endless debates and news coverage much was done to undress the candidates. After grueling weeks of self criticisms, selection was made. Then someone dug up a question and answer sequence wherein the selected candidate fumbled the explanation that about forty-seven percent would not vote for him so it would matter little what he said or did. Suddenly the news media became little children and screamed the rich man has no clothes.
We are being done an unjust service by our print and electronic news media. Four years and on half ago, a few voices screamed that the young, untested, clichéd, speaker talking of hope and change, was exposed for various questionable acts that needed to be aired. How come Senator Obama could sit in the pews of a man’s church but never heard the sermons’ contents? A few people claimed this would-be- emperor had a dirty suit, but it was never televised or printed with a clarion voice. Remember when  college writings by our Vice President, in prior years, were found to be Biden’s dirty suit of plagiarism. Is there a collegian of Democrat power brokers and news media? I watched yesterday while someone asked Chris Christie if his weight is, or will be, a problem for his candidacy in 2016. His answer should have been why are you trying to soil or undress this want- to-be-emperor?
Like the people watching the parade in the Hans Christian Anderson fable, our voices in the free press remain quiet and reluctant to ‘scream the emperor has no clothes’. “I will resolve the economy in three years or there will be no second term”; Barack Obama.

ACT NOW!

Fiscal Cliff:
Will it be good bad or indifferent? I do not know the answer, but we have gotten here by the candidates that have been placed in offices. We need a major country wide overhaul of ideas. What Ronald Reagan started has fallen away because of the 24 years of government give-a- ways, lack of budgets, and reckless spending programs, and election of sound bites..
We as Tea Party supporters must become more active at the township, county, state and national levels.
We know the closest sources or places for candidates and legislators are the Republicans, the Libertarian and possibly the Constitution Parties.
We know the Major News Media outlets are our enemies, when they print or broadcast slanted truths, opinions or straight out lies.
We must fight the political battle. Here are some ideas that might work.
·    Please write your letters to the newspapers. Call the talk radio. E-mail to the television jackasses.
·   Further yet; let us identify the sponsors that support the leftists. Write to these companies and tell them why you will not support their product/s. Hit them in their pockets. Give no money to any party unless they recognize conservative policies.
·   Do not support any idea or candidate or seated politician that is in your opinion ‘off target’. Get your opinions out to friends, relatives and opponent.
·   Learn the full meaning and depth of conservatism and stick to it!
·   Tell the middle of the road candidates for offices that will not get votes unless they pledge to your conservative views.
START NOW! GET YOUR VOICE AND WRITTEN WORD OUT TO THE PEOPKLE AND PLACES THAT COUNT.

New NAme for Social Security

Is our gtovernment trying to make us feel like they are doing us a favor

Social Security --new namePay attention to your next Social Security income, whether you get a check or an electronic deposit....note what it is now called...see below.. Even if you don't receive SS yet, you need to read this!
I'll be part of the one percent to forward this.
I am forwarding it because it touches a nerve in me, and I hope it will in you.
Please keep passing it on until everyone in our country has read it.
The government is now referring to our Social Security checks as a Federal Benefit Payment.
This isnot a benefit its earned income!
Not only did we all contribute to Social Security but our employers did too.
It totaled 15% of our income before taxes.
If you averaged $30K per year over your working life, (40 years) that's close to $180,000 invested in
Social Security.
If you calculate the future value of your monthly investment in social security ($375/month, including both your and your employers contributions) at a meager 1% interest rate compounded monthly, after 40 years of working you'd have more than $1.3+ million dollars saved! This is your personal investment.
Upon retirement, if you took out only 3% per year, you'd receive $39,318 per year, or $3,277 per month.
Thats almost three times more than todays average Social Security benefit of $1,230 per month, according to the Social Security Administration (Google it - its a fact).
I can only imagine how much better most average-income people could live in retirement if our government had Instead, the folks in Washington pulled off a bigger Ponzi scheme than Bernie Madoff ever did.
They took our money and used it elsewhere. They forgot that it was OUR money they were taking.
They didnt have a referendum to ask us if we wanted to lend the money to them.
And they didnt pay interest on the debt they assumed.
And recently, theyve told us that the money wont support us for very much longer.
But is it our fault they misused our investments?
And now, to add insult to injury, they are calling it a benefit, as if we never worked to earn every penny of it.
Just because they borrowed the money, doesn't mean that our investments were a charity!
Lets take a stand.
Demand that our legislators bring some sense into our government
Find a way to keep Social Security and Medicare
going, for the sake of that 92% of our population who need it.
Then call it what it is:

WSJ: In the End, Greek Crisis Will Hit Taxpayers

Sovereign-debt crises always spark struggles between creditors and debtors over who should suffer losses.

Since the Greek crisis exploded nearly three years ago, those fights have played out in euro-zone summits and finance ministers' meetings and have been covered feverishly by the global media.

Because of the large number of parties with stakes in the outcome—Greece and 16 other members of the euro zone, the European institutions and the International Monetary Fund—they have been even more complicated than usual.

...But now, particularly after the proposed buyback of some of the remaining private-sector debt, a vast majority of Greece's debt will be held by the public sector—the euro-zone governments and their bailout fund—the European Financial Stability Facility—as well as the European Central Bank and the IMF.

They will thus have the onus to make sure it is manageable. Costs will fall on the shoulders of taxpayers in Northern Europe, in spite the past best efforts of their governments to avoid it. Getting to this point has been a tortuous journey, not to speak of a very painful one for the people of Greece.

And it isn't over yet.
