Good for South Jersey?

Recently there have been letters suggesting that Mr. Norcross would do good things for South Jersey. Let us think of the good things he has done for South Jersey while he served as a state senator. Has he reduced the financial drain of our property, income, or sales taxes? No.
During 2014 there were twenty-one pieces of legislations which Norcross sponsored. None of which lessened the taxes on New Jersey Residents. Of the pieces of Norcross sponsored legislation that passed, not one created the possibility for employment by private industry, let alone employment in South Jersey.
Giving credit where it is due; there was the Bill S834 which established procedures for awarding of design-build contracts. This bill on the surface seems to improve business dealings where state, county, and municipal projects are to be awarded. The old tried and true method of awarding to the lowest qualified bid, submitted by a qualified bonded capable contractor, is replaced with an evaluation of quality, efficiency, etc. The evaluation of the professionals and the contractors has less bearing on price. The evaluation by a bureaucracy can be suspect. Are they politically connected? How many politically connected contracts will be awarded? How does this create jobs in South Jersey?  Projects, if necessary, should be administered and constructed based on the lowest cost qualified bidders regardless of this evaluation method as sponsored by Senator Donald Norcross. Remember that Norcross is a member of the same political party who have represented and controlled the City of Camden for decades. What have they done that improved Camden?
