What is our Federal Government doing? How or what do
their actions influence the lives of citizens/ Do the Government bureaucracies comply
with the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution and their intents of
personal freedom?
During the life of these documents the Federal
Government has created additional citizen oversights, by such citizen feared agencies
as; The Internal Revenue Service, The Federal Bureau of Investigation, Central
Intelligence Agency, and more recent The Department of Homeland Security.
The count and size of Government is lengthy with
directors, secretaries, and the ever-expanding staff. When the FBI came into
being the was a live time director, J E Hoover, that many feared for their
privacy. With the birth of the CIA the personal fears took on the dread of Hitler
or Stalin coming to everyday America. Fears grew again with Homeland Security.
Those with fears were assured ‘there is nothing to fear if you have done nothing
wrong’.
