When, and if, you are not happy about something, you can
complain, but you need to do so in a manner that accomplishes the attention of
the persons who can correct the situation.
The Americans who wrote the Constitution for our nation understood that
people have rights to be heard. The ugly
death of George Floyd, Minneapolis, Minnesota created the final straw in the communities
across The United States of America.
That ‘straw’ has accentuated the long existent and easily identified racial
divide that exists among people of our nation as well as the world. Since the numerous incidents of the 320 years
or more year wherein racial divides came to our shores in the form of slavery
incidents have triggered social attention to the problem. Reverend Martin
Luther King brought attention that resulted in the most recent reactions toward
corrections of the problems. The ugly death of George Floyd reinforced the need
to improved education and reinforcement of our nation’s moral code and
conduct. The people of multiple races have
taken to marching in numerous cities.
There is no need to discuss the immorality of destruction and looting
that has accompanied some or many of the marches. That problem is a law enforcement problem, if
not attended will have great negative effects on all of us. Parents of the world need to teach children
how wrong prejudices for any reasons are the destruction of; families, societies,
lives, justice, business, neighborhoods, and the list extends to ‘Life Liberty and
the pursuit of happiness’.
My Mother in Law to be was asked by neighbors, “Is he our
kind”? Her wonderful response was. “He’s American”. Bullets in; Europe, South Pacific, Korea, Vietnam,
Iraq, Afghanistan, never asked racial or religious identification, only in the
Civil War. We know how wrong Colonel Custer was.
