Dear TEA PARTY! The last thing most politicians and lobbyists looking in Trenton want to see is an army of taxpayers at the statehouse demanding them to stop wasting their money! And that's just what we plan on doing! No longer will the tax and spend practices go unchecked. No longer will the lobbyists looking for taxpayer handouts be the sole voices in the statehouse committee rooms. On Thursday, May 8, AFP is chartering buses to shuttle patriots like you to the statehouse as part of our very first "Road to Prosperity" event!  It is time to light the torch of freedom in Trenton. This event will come one day before Tax Freedom Day in New Jersey.  Locations:      Wyckoff                                 Montville                                  Egg Harbor                                 Bordentown Register here! Jack, you know how bad it is in New Jersey.  It doesn't have to be that way, we can change it, we will change it, and it starts now. The welcome sign in Trenton should read: "New Jersey makes and Trenton takes" In the halls of the statehouse, few are standing up for the interests of taxpayers. We've begun to change that over the past year. Our staff has been going to Trenton and testifying on your behalf, whether it has been to stand up against RGGI, fighting the reckless $6 billion open space measure, or any of the other countless tax and spend schemes that have been proposed.  It's been working. Legislators and the professional lobbyists are realizing we are there to hold them accountable. But we can do better, by having more!    You and I need to stand up to them and make our presence felt in Trenton! On May 8, join us and make your voice heard. The legislative session will be back in full swing. This will be a chance to see firsthand the inner workings of Trenton or to sound off before a legislative committee on bills affecting you, the taxpayer. AFP will cap off the day with a "Tax Freedom Day" Rally and Press Conference at 12:00 noon right outside on the steps of the statehouse!    Prosperity will not be unleashed in New Jersey until our state Legislature changes its big-government ways, starts practicing fiscal restraint, and adopts free-market, pro-growth fiscal policies! To make that a reality, you and I must make dial up the grassroots pressure!
