We are fast approaching the next round of Presidential, Congressional,
and Senatorial elections. During the next year and half we will hear all sort
of issues raised. We as part of the electorate should have our voices heard.
What is it that we are interested in?
I feel the nation should be concerned with effective control of terror. Overall economy improvement.
I feel the nation should be concerned with effective control of terror. Overall economy improvement.
This will require governments to remove themselves from the
job market. We need services but do we need ineffective methods of control. How
many people work for our Departments of Revenue, local, state and federal? We
pay taxes to collect taxes.
For job creation we need to reduce the drain of giveaway
spending without destruction of safety net programs. Our national debt must be
dealt with. The conflict is a stronger dollar will drain manufacturing jobs
from our country. Other nations need to strengthen their economies.
Return of state, local and family control and
responsibilities, such as education. Subsidies to education have created colleges
and schools that are consuming our finances and draining the moral position of
the family. We hear the politicians beating the drums for better education. We
seldom hear that parents are the first line or responsibility with regard to
education. Crime starts with the education of moral values, which begin in the
home. Racism is not the bailiwick of politicians but the moral education in the
home. We have come a long distance from the birth of civilization, morality
continues to be the method or steps to overcoming hate and bigotry. Every step
our governments take to control an issue seems to create reactions that cause reactions
that are counter to intent. Many will say that G. W. Bush should have not gone
into Iraq. An age old rule is if you break it you bought it. It seems we are
forgetting to pay for it. We are trying to pull out by making small payments. We
have responsibilities for our actions.
