We
have been told and we have seen the results of polling's. Few have ever been called
or approached by a pollster. Recently I served as a staff
member for a Trump and Republican campaign headquarters. This year’s Presidential election is
different. I worked during the McCain, and Romney campaigns and losses. In those
campaigns, there were occasional Republican voters requesting signs and
literature.
If this
year is an indication, something is in the air. I have witnessed an increase in
involvement. The enthusiastic voters this year number four to five times greater than
previous years. They are not only requesting signs, but literature, specialty
clothing hats, bumper stickers, humorous items, and other specialty items.
Will
New Jersey change this year? Who knows, but if Gloucester County is an
indication the building is on fire. These
are not Republicans requesting the
election signs and paraphernalia. These voters are people who are
admittedly lifelong
Democrats, who never voted Republican but swear to vote R this year. The
make up are union workers, government employees, school teachers,
business owners. Will Trump
win? Who knows where the votes go when the curtain closes?
