Some towns which have major amounts of pedestrian traffic have crossing signals that not only flash but verbally instruct when to walk, regardless whether the pedestrian is reading a message on their favorite cell phone or reading latest lover message.  Over the past decades there have been numerous innovations and even some inventions that have improved our safety as well as our conveniences and way of life. For the sake of reducing our frustrations and safety there should be a cell phone, or automobile, that when operated, either cell phone or automobile would automatically command the automobile to park off the roadway. Or when the traffic light turns green a loud speaker would announce; Get off the phone - Stupid.

Yes, sometimes children, spouse or telemarketer, will have an urgent message and will call wherever you are whether, toilet facility, library, funeral, or negotiating.

JUST TURN THE DAMN THING OFF.
