Dear Editor,
A few things come to mind when recent protests went
into effect because of Trump’s ban on selective travel. Roll back the calendars to early 1990’s.
Does the name Ramzi Yousef come to mind? He orchestrated a one hundred foot
cavern in the lower level of the World Trade Center. He failed but we failed to
recognize the threat. Later there were nineteen Saudi citizens that took flying
lessons but did not care to learn, or pay for the lessons to land. There were brothers named Tsarnaev who
purchased pressure cookers, which they packed with explosives. The Russians provided
messages of concern to our Government agencies, about the Tsarnaev's, but we failed. There was Omar
Mateen who assassinated fifty in a night club that gay clientele frequented. that is just a few.
Go back over recent history and ask, could something have been different? The Trump effect was only in place a short while when attorneys congregated at international airport terminals. Thank Trump, he seems to recognize cause and effect. He also is creating jobs for attorneys and clerks.
