Media opinions

A ‘guest columnist’ article by Deborah Lev. titled “If we’ve lost faith in the media, who is really at fault?” The supposition is that “We the public could be the culprits.” No, the Culprits are the employed people who continually give a one sided opinion with their many excuses for big government and their opinions that government should cure all societal ills, and short comings.

The recent election saw strong media, print and electronic, support for Hillary Clinton. According to the website HILL, fifty-seven newspapers endorsed Hillary, while only two endorsed Trump. If your chosen paper was not included in that tabulation, make it fifty-eight. Going back over the last sixteen years the majority of papers endorsed Democrat Candidates. The article by MS Lev refers to the often quoted Thomas Jefferson, citing that he was in favor of the government's opposition by the Media. The media would teach history, and provide the watchdog effect on government. SO TRUE.

Where was the Media when Obama had a runaway government, with Hillary Clinton poised to ever expand the last eight years. What a good media should provide is point and counter point, pluses and minuses, not blind-folded intent to find only good in the theories of the liberal minds.

When the votes were counted in November, The Public had revolted in four of the South Jersey Counties. Our nation lost faith in the Democrats in the recent Congressional elections. Media Lost the Public. Sad to say we the Public are losing the watchdog Fourth Estate. Why should we endorse talking heads, or print media, with their continual one sided endorsements of candidates. The Candidates that cause a thrill up their legs?
