It was a wonderful morning,
Monday, November 14, 2016, until I picked up my copy of the South Jersey Times. The
revolution of the election was almost over. In our neighboring Philadelphia and
New York and other cities across the country people unhappy with the result
were protesting in their streets. But the South Jersey Times attempted to begin
another revolution.
Our recent year was filled with
media attempts to select a winner regardless of what the voters were feeling.
There on the front page was the opening salvo of the attempt to present us with
a one term Senator from New Jersey as a Candidate for President.
Of course this might go over well in our
State that is heavily marching to the beat of the Democrat Party’s drummer. The
endorsing article reminds people of the scene in 2004 when a well-rehearsed
infant Senator made the party key-note speech and rode his fame to the
Candidacy for president in 2008. Much is History but the bad taste of his
policies created the Candidacy of a political outsider who swept to victory
over the preselected, and failing Secretary of State.
Can we wait for a reasonable
period of peace, to find out if the United States reacts negatively to Trump’s
Plan to correct the wrongs of Obama?
Or does the South Jersey times feel
wronged because their endorsed Candidate was voted down? Was it necessary to
submit South Jersey to criticism, after all three of the major counties in
South Jersey voted for Donald J Trump?
Give us a break for a short while, we want to see how Trump and Pence do.
