The government’s non-essential
workers are on a non-paid vacation until the standoff is resolved. The
resolution would be simple if there was a majority vote in the Senate, instead
of the sixty vote majority. The other side of the coin is that the filibuster
breaking sixty vote majority is not part of the Constitution. If Obama and
Schumer wanted barrier border security then why are they lying by their current
opposition?
These two items are not the final
answer. The stalemate is because the Democrats hate President Trump. The opposition exists regardless
that several years ago they, Schumer and Obama, were in favor of border
security that included fences, or barriers, or walls.
