Is it strange that NJ Senator feels blackmailed?

Dear Editor,
The threat of Public Employee Unions withholding donations from politicians is news like-“Man bites dog”. Not only do unions but professional corporations of engineers, attorneys, accountants etc. provide large flows of donations to politicians but the receivers are the largely the Democrats. The last Gloucester County Democrat Freeholders race was a great example of money flow and questionable economics. The Democrat PAC for Freeholders spent over $650,000 for three seats that pay a salaries of $17,000 per year. Just think of the contracts they control.
The source of the reporting on the NJ State web site reflects the largess of the political contributors. New Jersey’s Election Law Enforcement Commission (ELEC) is dedicated to administering The New Jersey Campaign Contributions and Expenditures. What a great service it would be if the reports for competing politicians would be a rolling election period page. The monies the unions dispense to politician are inveigled from the pockets of public unionized employees. It is obviously legal to contribute. The ethics can be questioned when Contracts are negotiated or Contracts are awarded by State, County and Municipal offices whose campaign kitties are endowed. Senator Sweeney has; ‘Been there – Done that’.  Senator Sweeney, how much have you received in your campaign kitty? Many employees pay their dues under duress and watch union dollars flow to political parties and candidate election funds. Voters have a right to know. It is a duty of the Fourth Estate to inform what is being paid for, and who is benefiting at tax payers expense.
