During all election cycles, much has been made of Second Amendment, and its meaning. The first Federal Court Case was United States v. Cruikshank, 92 U.S. 542 (1876). Political people, such as Hillary Clinton, and her advising and mouthy supporters such as Whoopi Goldberg, feel that guns are the continuing problem as they, and their ilk, continually express the belief that guns and gun owners cause violence on innocent persons. NRA members and rightful gun owners like the phrase ‘people not guns kill people’. Of course the objective is do away with all gun ownership, or reduce the statistic to a minimum. If they succeed their next objective is objective is seizure.
Regardless
there are statistics of death by suicide automobiles, knives, pedestrian
carelessness, fire etc. The signal desire of some politicians is to make our
country, state, or municipality, ‘gunless’.
The
Second amendment needs only to be touched by revision to inclusion of a phrase
that declares; ‘No authority will confiscate weapons or material self-defense
implements from the citizenry of these States’. Though not an owner of a gun,
rifle or shotgun of any shape or size, this conservative would fight to avoid
an all-powerful gun possessing government.
